Victoria has a wonderful, close family of three brothers and three sisters. She was raised in a nice, loving and close family. She was married at a young age and raised three children. She had attended College in Tehran, Iran majored in Law and International Studies. She is multi-lingual and is very familiar with countries and cultures throughout the Mid-East.
During the 1980's when the Shah of Iran lost his power, Victoria and her family were able to narrowly escape from her home in Iran, during that turbulent, tense and unsettling period.
Her story details and describes this dramatic journey to leave Iran with three young children.
Victoria and her children finally settled and transitioned to the United States living in New York.
She went back to school to become a Licensed Cosmetologist and Hairstylist working in Manhattan. She documents in her new book, "Omid's Mission" A Tribute To My Son about how her youngest son Omid was diagnosed with aplastic anemia dyskeratosis congenita.
This was and still is a very rare and fatal blood disease. Her new book outlines the several years she spent caring for her son during his aggressive treatments. It's not a sad story, it's a love story about how Victoria as a single mother had to work, care for her two other children while helping Omid during his serious and aggressive medical treatments.
Victoria had a very successful career as a hairstylist in Manhattan after her son passed away. Her promise to Omid was to have strength and to continue on. Over the last two years, she had completed her new book, Omid's Mission" to honor her son's courage, wisdom and strength.
Omid loved to help others and his mission was to bring awareness of this rare disease and help to find cures for others stricken with this fatal blood disease. Her book highlights the tremendous love, humor and wisdom that Omid had with all those around him. She writes how G-d truly blessed her with a true "angel".
